I just started a Nuzlocke challenge with my Pokémon Platinum version. Here are the rules I've set for myself:
- No running away from a wild encounter.
- No healing items during a battle.
- Nickname all caught Pokémon.
- First encounter in any area can be the only species obtained there. Duplicates are not allowed, thus if a first encounter is the same as a former area's, the next species that appears must be caught.
- Fainted = Dead (goes into a 'GRAVEYARD' box in the PC) though Legendary battles can be redone (in case of fainting or simply dumb luck).
