[ History ]

She was born in Japan, but then moved to Seoul in her early teens due to her mother's remarriage. Young Soon grew up without a father, so her mother (and later on, her stepfather) fully supported her, including teaching her how to fluently speak English and a little bit of French. Young Soon's mother came from a rather rich family, but she learned to live independently and simply as she grew older.
Despite having been enrolled into an international school upon entering Seoul, Young Soon couldn't shake off the feeling that she wasn't welcome to her new environment. Her situation at home didn't help either, since her mother was more focused on her new stepfather rather than herself. Young Soon didn't want to intervene, so she kept quiet until two years after graduating from high school, when she said that she would want to become an idol. At first, her mother did not approve of it but later on changed her mind when Young Soon's stepfather convinced her to let Young Soon be her own woman.
